David J. Fruit
B.S. in Geology, Duke University
Ph.D. in Geology/Geophysics, University of Oklahoma
David has 24 publications on geological and geophysical topics. His exploration successes have included large development programs in the Cottage Grove Sandstone, The Tonkawa Sandstone and the Cleveland Sandstone all tight reservoirs in the Anadarko Basin. David was involved early in coal bed methane with some of the first CBM projects in the Arkoma Basin, the Cherokee Shelf and SE Kansas. His research interests include the use of soil magnetic susceptibility to track hydrocarbon micro seepage and the use of airborne magnetic gradiometry as a sophisticated exploration tool the potential of which is generally unrealized in the industry.
